Criss Cross

This one was even funnier than the first book! The story was fast paced and I absolutely adore Vic! He was so much fun to ‘be’ for a while.
I actually read a few pages while in a waiting room. I think people would have looked at me strangely if I bursted out in laughter all of a sudden.. so I really had to practice my pokerface while reading this part:
“Oh, hey,” I said. “This is Roger, my new partner. Roger, this is Jacob, my, uh....” God, could there
be a worse word than “boyfriend?” It made us sound like Barbie and Ken. Or Ken and Ken. Or Ken
and G.I. Joe. I told my mind to stop stalling and think of a way to say it. “My partner...at home.”
My main complaint with the first book was that it was a bit superficial. There is still some of that in this one, but because I had so much fun reading this, it really didn’t bother me.
The only thing that bothered me a little is the fact that Vic doesn’t talk a lot. His thoughts are those of a (very funny) rambling idiot but if he would speak up more, other people would know how funny he is!
There is one major improvement in this installment. We finally get a decent sex scene at the end! ;)
I would recommend this series to anyone who is in to the M/M genre and is looking for a funny yet action packed, fast paced story with a very likable MC.
