This book continues right where we left off (and I mean exactly where we left off). Sam and Mac are trying to figure out their changed relationship, from friends with benefits to something more. Especially Sam needs to think he can just walk away at any time, but the truth is they were never just fuckbuddies.

There are some bumps in their road to eternal love, but that has got more to do with everything going on in their lives than the bond these two have. I loved the tenderness between them. And the sexy times were extremely HOT!



Sam and his team are still trying to capture the serial killer (where can I get myself a FBI team like this!). Sam also has a lot to deal with at home with his sister and his nephew Nicky. Mac is doing his best to win Sam’s heart while dealing with his former best friend and her kids. They also find out they were connected from the start without them knowing about it.

These men had the greatest chemistry together. I loved seeing them together. So hot, yet so sweet as well. And the rest of the characters, to say I was intrigued was an understatement. I just want to read more about them. I was a bit disappointed that the big reveal, that everyone knew each other, never really happened. They found out gradually. There is the scene in the hospital of course, but by the time that happened it was all feeling a little anti-climactic to me. Loved the kissing scene in the hospital though.
