I really felt for Trey. He was such a broken character, yet managed to survice everything he went through. This story does not revolve around the romance. It was a big part of it, but the main focus was Trey and how he lives his life. This is definitely a dark book. It deals with the abuse Trey suffered as a child and his OCD as a result of that. What bothered me the most was how Trey kept his job as a prostitute because it is all he has ever known. We get to see what happens night after night with his tricks. It broke my heart.
In the beginning of the book I wondered what kind of person Trey would fall for. I was happy it was Justin. Two broken characters finding each other. I wondered if they would drag each other down, but thank God they found solace in each other. They were right together. Justin didn’t try to change Trey and Trey didn’t try to change Justin.

The writing was really good and overall I enjoyed it, but it did leave me a bit unsatisfied and exhausted in the end. Exhausted because my heart just broke with everything Trey went through and unsatisfied because I wanted something more for the last 25% of the book. The story didn’t progress as much as I had hoped. I know it takes baby steps to go from such a dark place Trey was in to something better, but I was hoping for a bit more. More in the romance departement perhaps… But I guess that is just me… Justin and Trey do end up together and they are happy. It will just have to be enough.
