In the Arms of a Killer

In the Arms of a Killer - Nicola Haken This is a tough one to review. I’m not sure I can even do it without pouring my heart out here.

This is a serious case of it’s me, not the book.

I’ve lived with a depressed person for 10 years. I do realize that not every person is like my ex-husband, but I’m still exhausted, even though we’ve divorced more than a year ago.

To be Theodore and to live with James, who is managing life, not really living it (my opinion, coloured because of my experiences), I get tired just thinking about it.

This book exhausted me, made me cry and I made me lie awake all night reliving the past 10 years.

So as you can see, this is totally on me. This book made me feel like crap. Therefore 2 stars, not because it’s a bad book, because really, it’s not. But I do rate books as to how they make me feel and I cannot give it more than 2 stars when all I feel is tired and angry when thinking about this.

I'm so sorry Wendy and Meags for not liking this more! It was too close to home and I wasn't expecting that.
