I am not sure it is fair to rate this, because I gave up at 60%. I tried.... I really tried...
One of the things that did not work for me was the writing style. It was overly detailed and therefore very boring at times. And the flashback told from Bear's POV about what Otter was telling him? Huh, confusing much...?

I don't care if my characters are not enjoying life, feeling depressed or even try to kill themselves. But I cannot sympathize with people who screw up their relationships before they even start!
I know life is not always a walk in the park, but why do people make it even harder for themselves? That is definitely what Bear does. And Otter too actually. They drive each other away before anything happens! What happened to... let's just see where this goes.. They drove each other crazy! And therefore me as well...

The romance was a difficult one, the story was quite boring and the characters were not all that likable...

So I gave up...
